I love Islands of adventure, it's awesome, Well it's not really an amusement park, it's a theme park but i'd say it still counts. I also love Disney land, Disney World, Epcot, Busch Gardens, and Sea World. I'll add some more if i can think of any more. @Silent Wow i'd like to go there!
Only ever been to Disney & Universal in the US, difficult to choose between them as they both have good and bad points.
Without a doubt it's Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure, Florida. An amazing variety of rides, shows, attractions and the wonderful "City Walk" right next to it. I suppose Amusement Park purists might not define it as such but, if you've never been, I suggest at least going once.
It's not open anymore, but my favorite is Action Park. Here is the Wikipedia article -- it's honestly one of the funniest things I've ever read: Here's just a taste
My favorite amusement park would have to be Disneyworld. When my husband first went to work, his company took its vacation during two weeks in July. My husband's father lived in Tampa, so we would load up the kids and head south! I think we visited Disneyworld for eight years in a row. You couldn't ask for more fun packed into three or four days. The kids loved the rides and the grown ups did too. Our favorite hotel was the Polynesian and riding the monorail was as much fun as visiting the park! Disneyworld has expanded so much from those days that you can hardly recognize it. The Magic Kingdom is basically the same, but all the other attractions are just as great. I will never get tired of exploring all the opportunities for fun at Disneyworld.
My favorite would have to be the Orlando Universal theme park. I had a great time when I was down there a few years ago.
My favorite is Disney World... Specifically, The Magic Kingdom! It is great fun for young and old alike! There is so much to see and do and everything seems larger than life there. The first time I went I was 15 and I am now 47 and still love it!
EPCOT for me - although I haven't been for about 15 years. Even more of a reason to go as so much will have changed. I don't really like rides, but love the educational side.
My favorite amusement park has to be Six Flags: Great America in Gurnee, IL. I spent most of my childhood in Chicago, and whenever me and my family were in the mood for some thrill, we would go on the hour-ride to Six Flags. We have some videos from when I was a baby, and how I loved the first time I went to an amusement park. Brings back a bunch of memories.
Kings Island in Ohio is my favorite. Its owned by Paramount, granted its no Disney from what I hear. but man the rides are awesome and it has that nostalgic amusement park feel to it. The Beast is one of the best roller coaster's in the world, it's a wooden one and it takes you through the woods with the rails rattling and wood creaking. Just amazing.
I've never been to any "big" amusement parks like Disney Land/World We have one in Kansas City, MO called Worlds of Fun and it is awesome!! I would love to go to Cedar Point in OH someday and ride all the roller coasters, though.
My favorite amusement park is located in Gurnee, IL right off the freeway on Hwy 94. It is called Six Flags Great America. Six Flags Great America is pretty large. They have different shows that are geared for all ages. They have a nice water park, quite a few different roller coasters as well as a lot of different rides that are geared to all different ages. They even have a little kid's section that has rides for just the little ones. Six Flags Great America has a section for games where you can win prizes. They are open every year from late May until early September.
