How many of you have visited Alaska? I have yet known anyone that has visited Alaska. I suppose most of the people that are there stay there and most of the people that live in the south never want to visit the very cold.
I have visited Alaska quite a few times in my life, primarily through cruise lines. Surprisingly, it actually is not too cold in the summer time, but the cost of getting their at that time is of course (or usually) more expensive, depending on your travel agent. Alaska is pretty nice in other season as well, as there is a lot to do there, including shopping, rock climbing, kayaking/canoeing, dog sledding during certain seasons, etc. It's pretty worth it to go at least once, but it gets boring if you go there too much, as with other places. Have fun, and enjoy!
I haven't visited but i'd love to! It's a beautiful place over there and it's hard to think that they have suburban neighborhoods there just like here. Even though i live in Florida i still love the cold and it does get down into the 20s here in the winter.
When I visited the last time, there actually were not all too many icebergs. It seems as if though they melted away. It was still a very nice place to visit though.
I've never been to Alaska but I'd love to. Two reasons why. The cold and fish. As if it wasn't enough here in Seattle for cold weather, it does interest me that Alaska is the coldest state in the country. Plus I like fishing salmon
Bahh who am I kidding. They'll probably drag me into the water lol. Just kidding. That happened to someone I know though
Sorry, I don't mean to bash on Alaska, but is it worth it? I mean it seems way too cold. I don't like the cold.
It actually isn't as cold as the majority of the people think in the winter. It actually is quite fun for the first time.
