Currently I've got a tank of triops. They're little shrimp with a shield looking thing on their back. Go look em up, they're really interesting! Atleast, to me they are. It's more fun watching them do loop-de-loops and burying themselves in the sand than it is to watch goldfish..... All they do is blink at you >_>

Anybody else own any interesting pets, aquatic or not?

Aside from that I've got a king snake. He's not so people-friendly though. Heh.

Aw, I love triops. They're very cute, shame they don't live very long though.

Sinocard, do you have photos you can share with us? I've never heard of triops before until I read your post. Interesting!

    I wish I did :(

Unfortunately about 2 weeks into their life they all mysteriously died.... *cry*.... I'm guessing something fell into their tank and I didn't notice, thus killing them by bacterial contamination D:

I'm going to hatch some more though. In a few weeks I'll post pictures :p

I dunno... they look a little too weird for me. I'll stick to regular pets.

That's how most people feel :(

I agree they look a bit weird... But they're just so adorable! Their eyes are sooooo cute :3

I would be willing to try them out. I guess it's something you have to see before you believe.

Heck, if you've got a spare 7$ go for it! You might just end up having a pet you really enjoy. They're cheap, and they even lay eggs so you never have to buy more! Well, unless they die from a mysterious illness like mine did. I guess that's why I should keep the top of the tanks covered while they're young >_<

Well that's not so bad. Can you buy them at any pet store? And what else do you need for them?

I've never seen them at my local pet stores. You may be able to find them at a fish shop, though. I know a lot of people buy them on ebay or online aquarium stores. Or simply on a fish forum, they usually have trade/adoption/sell sections.
