This is for all you Alaska residents. What is the most dangerous animal in your state? Is it the grizzly/Kodiak bear? What about the moose? I hear those guys can get big and mean.

The moose seems harmless. I guess it isn't really that harmless. :p Sorry I have a city person.

In Northern California I think the mountain lion is most feared. We've had incidents where they've ran off with the family pet or attacked hikers. One of my friends saw one on a hike, and he said that their predatory eyes are immobilizing, because they're so piercing and sharp. All he did was stand there in fear out of shock. Luckily, it didn't harm him and went on it's merry way.

I can understand what he meant by its eyes...look at this picture. Imagine it staring back at you in a forest, and you're by yourself. *scary!*

Aww that thing is adorable! But yes it would be scary if you ran into it in the wild.

Ok, so I've been watching the National Geographic Channel on TV, and they have this show called "Alaska State Troopers". I'll tell you what. I think the most dangerous animals in Alaska are human beings, whether drunk or sober. They are not only a danger to wild animals and the environment, but they are dangerous to mankind and themselves.

I live in Florida and i'd say Crocodiles and Alligators are probably the most dangerous animal here.

This. I would much rather meet an animal down a dark alley than a human.

But for true animals, I would have to say alligators, crocodiles, and sharks are the most dangerous in my state as well. Snakes too, there are 6 venomous snake species in Florida. A few species of rattlesnakes and there are also coral, cottonmouth, and copperhead.
