I've lived quite a few places in my time, and I've got to say, Seattle is by far one of the best! The only gripe I have is the weather. Alot of rain, alot of cold :(

It's well worth it though, to be living in such a wonderful culturally diverse city. The city is clean, the nature is absolutely stunning. Everything is even reasonably priced! I've got a large 1 bedroom apartment in an upscale suburban neighborhood.... For only 700 a month! I was paying 690/mo for a tiny one bedroom in the heart of the ghetto in Phoenix.

    Any other Seattle dwellers here?

$700 a month!!!! You've got to be kidding me. Okay, I'm now jealous of you. You don't even want to know the rent prices in California. I'm in San Jose and the cost for an upscale suburban apartment is roughly $1,600...and that's for a 1 bedroom!

I have only ever heard of Seattle on the TV show "Frasier". So I don't really have a decent opinion on it to be honest, although I know Starbucks was founded there! :p

Haha, I know! I used to live in San Diego :p

I was paying 1400 for a 1 bedroom... Which for San Diego, is still a pretty dang good deal.

San Jose must be pretty nice for you to be paying that much. Heh.

I have been to Seattle a few times. I kind of liked it, especially the rain because it never rains here in Southern California :(

Hey, I live here too :)
Good to know you like Seattle!
I myself can't compare this city to any other. Maybe it's because I was born and raised here ;).

The weather here is mixed and I like that. I love rainy days. Even though it might make things seem a bit gloomy here and there for some people, I find it to be no problem at all. Maybe when driving but that's the only thing I dislike about it.

Wow, I too, came from the valley of the sun. I grew up in Glendale & moved to the great northwest in 1989. I'm in Tacoma & I love it here. I did live in Yakima for about 6 years, until the end of 2009 & spent 2010 down in the desert. After my youngest graduated high school, I went down to spend some time with my mother & sister. I must say that I will never go back in the summer. It was absolutely brutal! I have no idea how I survived my childhood in that heat! I definitely prefer the rain over the baking sun.
