The bay area revolves around San Francisco. Sacramento is about an hour's drive away from San Francisco. And yet, sometimes it feels like worlds apart. What do you guys think?
Actually, several years ago I was in the Sacramento area for a house party. The pace at which people move about there is noticeably slower than the SF Bay Area. It's almost like they know they have nowhere to go or be seen, therefore they take their time.
I don't include Sacramento as part of the Bay Area. I have friends that bought homes out there and even they feel like they're on a different planet.
No, I don't think Sacramento is part of the Bay Area, since it's actually a pretty good distance from the Bay Area. Also as someone else said, there is a pretty big cultural difference.
I lived in Sacramento for 15+ years and now currently live in San Francisco, and no its not part of the Bay. Feels like San Francisco is completely different.
No no no. The Bay area is great. I lived there for awhile, and it is a fun, beautiful place with great people. Sacramento is a pit. But that's what happens anyplace there's a bunch of politicians. Ha!
No no no. That's Florida! But I really didn't care for Sacramento! The Bay area, on the other hand, is awesome. Although I have to note, San Fran is even more crazy expensive than San Diego. The Bay area has some of the most expensive rent in the country, outside of Manhattan. Still, great people, beautiful area, lots of cool stuff to do.
I wouldn't consider Sacramento as a part of the San Francisco Bay Area. It's actually a bit far from the city itself. I have some relatives that live in Sacramento, and they never talk about it being a part of San Fran.
I don't think Sacramento should be considered a part of San Francisco Bay area. There's nothing common between two places; the people are different, the culture is different and the lifestyle is totally different as well. Bay area is an awesome place while Sacramento is a so-so area.
