Oh yeah, no question about it. I've been following his career closely since he made it to the NBA. His talent is undeniable. The summer game in which he outdueled John Wall was a precursor of things to come. Keith Smart was a fool for playing Acie Law over Jeremy Lin. Funny thing is, Acie isn't even in the league anymore. The Golden State Warriors were doubly stupid for letting Lin go in the hopes of landing DeAndre Jordan (who they didn't get). Houston cut him too, but it's a bit more understandable as they did not have him on their roster for that long and did not have as many opportunities to evaluate his talent. But things happen for a reason right? Now Lin has a chance to shine on arguably one of the biggest stages in the world, Madison Square Garden. And he's succeeded early on without the New York Knicks' two biggest superstars, Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudamire. Imagine the possibilities when the entire team is healthy and everyone has had time to gel! Pressure? Naw... Clutch I say! I wish Jeremy Lin the best!
The teams that cut Jeremy Lin are not stupid from doing this as he has been cut multiple times and was receiving low ratings from coaches during his given opportunities. Jeremy Lin is a great player as of late. He is playing some of the best basketball in the league right now. I just hope he can maintain this level. Jeremy Lin is on a rollercoaster ride and I just hope it keeps going. It is a feel good story, for a league which was thirsting for such a thing. I believe that Jeremy Lin was just what the League needed whether or not the Linsanity hype is true or not.
Sorry, gotta disagree with you on the teams that cut J-Lin. The Warriors did an awful job of evaluating talent, and Keith Smart should be called out for not playing him even during garbage time his rookie year. This is coming from a diehard Warriors fan. Look at their track record dating back the last 15 years or so and how poorly they did in the draft. Linsanity is the real deal!
I think he's legit but the hype surrounding him is starting to get stale and it hasn't been a full month yet. It's a great thing that he's completely changed the dynamic of the team and he has energized Knicks fans but I just think all the attention needs to simmer down so we can all appreciate that he really is a good player without the sports media declaring him as the next big thing.
