Well that is what they claim! I really like their snow there myself also. It is the dry type of snow so it is great for skiing in. Have you tried skiing or snowboarding there? I recommend it. I go there once or twice a year and spend a week or so there
I would love to play in the snow, I've only seen snow a few times before and it wasn't that much I really want to learn how to snowboard and ski, i can't image how much fun it'd be speeding down a mountain.
Jacksonville, Florida, it gets cold in the winter here, about into the 20s a lot of the time but it very rarely snows, back in i think 1989 it snowed enough for people to sled and have snowball fights and make snowmen! I didn't experience that though since i wasn't alive yet.
Although we haven't had as much snow this winter as last, the skiing in Utah is fantastic. If you like or are interested in learning how to ski or snowboard, it really can't be beat. There are probably six or so ski resorts within an hour of Salt Lake City. For skiers, both Alta and Deer Valley offer skiing only mountains. Deer Valley is especially nice, but Alta is generally considered by locals to be the best resort. If you are interested in snowboarding, Park City, Snowbird, Brighton, Solitude, and the Canyons all offer great snow and runs for both skiing and snowboarding. Our snow tends to be light and powdery, which makes for some fabulous days following recent snow.
We've only gotten snow once in my town and it was years ago, so for me, any kind of snow would be good I've heard dry snow is great for skiing but I've never had the chance to do that. I'd just like to make a snowman or something, and maybe attack someone with perfectly rounded snowballs!
The funny thing is that dry snow actually isn't great for either snowmen or snowballs. It's great for skiing because it stays light and powdery, and can create a layer that your skis glide through effortlessly. To make snowmen or snowballs, wetter snow is actually much better because it sticks together! Where do you live? If you've never experienced a ton of snow, I'm sure you'd really enjoy a visit to Salt Lake City at some point. The skiing doesn't get any better.
I did a lot of skiing in Utah when I was younger. I've always lived in Utah and there are some great ski resorts here. I've skiied in Park City and at the Alta ski resort. Now, my winter sport is playing with my snow shovel!
