I would say California. It's so beautiful, and you can often go to amazing beaches!

What an interesting discussion! I find it fascinating because there is a clear distinction between lovers of the city and lovers of the sunshine and the beach. I think we can all relate to liking the sun and the beach but it's something about the pulse of the city. Nothing like it....NYC is a great trip for me but Chicago is always home for me. I can feel a difference in my heart rate and my excitement when I come into the city. It has a beat of its own.

Thanks. If you have never been i highly recommend a trip to Chicago in the summer so you can experience the lakefront and its beaches, the Cubs or the Sox, art fairs and the many music festivals that just keep pumping the city and keeps it going all night. Make sure to carry plenty of cab fare unless you stay in one neighborhood and just take it all in. Trust me, it can be done!

I'll take that into consideration. I love to travel and I may just look into Chicago.

I'm from Portland, Oregon, and that's an awesome place to live. Speaking of Portlands, I recently heard that Portland, Maine is the best city in the country to live in for young people (20s and 30s). It's all the way on the other end of the country, but I should visit sometime.

I have only lived in two states but from the places I have visited and would love to move to: Las Vegas is definitely number one. I posted about it in a bunch of other topics but I can't help it; I love Vegas. I also would like to live in San Francisco. As for foreign cities I would like to live in: Rome has always been a dream of mine as well as Buenos Aires and Bora Bora/Tahiti (they are so small that cities don't really matter to me).
  10. I'd have to say California, possibly around the Los Angeles area. Though I haven't gone to LA in a long time, all I can remember about the city is the nightlife. I actually even remember attending a movie premiere at the time. Los Angeles is amazing.
