I saw the Roku2 on QVC a little while back, and was wondering if anyone has used it and if its as good they are saying.... You are supposed to be able to watch tv shows through this device via wireless internet. I just seems to good to be true. They made it seem like you won't have a need for cable or dish if you have it. SO, anyone using this???
My family owns an original Roku, but we've never heard about this Roku 2 you speak of. I'm guessing that this new Roku won't have the ability to watch T.V. shows through the internet. People from my country have already developed something very similar known as Jadoo. They also released a 2nd version, which has some major improvements.
Honestly those things are a waste. I'm not sure how much they are but I'm guessing around $100? You can get a laptop these days for as low as $250 and they have an HDMI port and all you have to do is plug it into your tv. Then just unplug it and use it as a laptop!
I was thinking about getting one for my tv. My laptop is in need of servicing so I can't look at videos with it closing down on me. My tv has the digital converter on it but is still not that good. Of course the shows I like are on cable. I guess I will just get a new laptop.
Roku2 functions much the same as the first. It's a lot cheaper than when they first were offered though. It seems every device, TV's, Playstations, X-Box, are all compatible with Netflix so I don't even know why you would need it anymore.
