I visited Baltimore back in 2003, but my time there was too short and I had to return home. It was a mini vacation of only three days. I am now looking into re-locating to this area as soon as I can save money and I would like to read about any recommended places to visit when I am there. I have read a lot of online guides and city articles on the matter, but I am not particularly sure what would strike my fancy. I love anything geeky. I love books, science fiction, museums and related conventions. I would love to hear from anyone that has experience with the city. What are the pros and the cons of being there? What makes Baltimore a wonderful city? I have already seen from experience that this area is extremely beautiful. I understand there is a bit of crime in the area, but I doubt it's nothing compared with living near Miami for over 11 years. Please help me discover the grandeur that is Baltimore. I am all eyes and ears.
